Project One Voice

The One Voice Concept

The One Voice concept was originated by Tracy Wilson Peters (CAPPA Executive Director) as an ongoing project that would bring together women's health professionals and citizens with one voice. The concept was based on a foundation that concerned citizens and organizations can work together with one voice to support worthy causes.

"We are responsible to the next generation of birthing women. Let it be known that we did not watch in silence as birthing rights were taken away." - Tracy Wilson Peters ICCE, CCCE, CD, CLD CLE

"I find One Voice an excellent statement which I can endorse without qualification." - Dr. Marsden Wagner

The History of One Voice

One Voice was conceived in the fall of 2003 by Tracy Wilson Peters and the first project took place on February 14th, 2004. For more information on our demonstration, please view the archive.

The Future of One Voice

The One Voice project will continue as new issues arise that call for public education, media attention, and grassroots effort. One Voice is made up of professionals from nearly every childbirth organization. Those professionals put aside their affiliations to speak with One Voice.
